The
Benefits
Here are the advantages !!
Reduced construction time; by allowing the construction
of the second storey to commence much sooner. The brick load
of the second storey can take place within days after the Floortech
Flooring System has been installed. It can take as little
as 4 days to install the system after the ground floor brickwork
has been completed. Conventional concrete slabs cannot be
loaded for a minimum of 21 days from the date of concrete
pour to allow for curing. You can save up to 3 weeks rent,
save on site hire costs and/or get an investment working for
you sooner!!
The system is designed by structural engineers and
is fully compliant with the practices and requirements of
the Building code of Australia AS4600, AS3600, AS4100, AS1170 and all Australian Standards.
We provide a full service from completed ground floor
brickwork to completed suspended slab, including forming balconies
and staircases and supply and lay of any concrete required.
Hassle free and of the highest quality!
It costs no more than a conventional slab!
Our system allows for your plumber to install plenum
boxes for installing extraction fans; all your electrician
need do is fit the desired fan in place, while the ducting
to external air is taken care of by the plumber using readily
available PVC piping!
The design eliminates the need for obtrusive concrete
support beams on wide ceiling spans. Conventional formed concrete
relies on the cured concrete itself along with reinforcing
steel to support itself between walls and often requires a
downturn concrete beam for additional support. Floortech in
most cases does not require this and can maintain a uniform
ceiling throughout the home maintaining cleaner lines throughout
while saving time and money!
Ceilings are flat. Plasterboard ceilings are screwed
to the underside of the steel support beams used in the system.
A very good ceiling finish can be guaranteed. Our system is
also far cheaper than skim coating and under slab cornice!
Formed concrete slabs can be very uneven and it is not possible
for the plasterer to get a completely uniform flat finish
with a skim coated setting plaster.
Built in channels between beams are ideal for ducting
for ventilation or to conceal wiring and plumbing pipes. This
means that dropped ceilings normally required to conceal plumbing
on formed slabs are not required, as all plumbing and electric
cabling can run through or between the beams !!
Control of trades. All tradesmen that work for Floortech
are trained and supervised to ensure that the system is installed
to the highest quality. Conventionally formed slabs are subject
to inconsistent tradesmen with the best quote, not the best
tradesmen, often getting the job.
Accommodates Complex designs in stairwells and voids,
and reduces the need for expensive conventional 3 course thick
slabs over large ceiling spans.
Greater freedom of design as the placement of wet areas
is no longer restricted, as is the case with conventional
concrete flooring.
Eliminates most dropped ceilings used downstairs to
conceal pipes.
Easily allows any future changes to the home with plumbing,
air conditioning wiring and lighting that are virtually impossible
with conventional slab construction.
